Laleh stole (also known as long scarf) is made using 100% cotton Khadi, sourced from Khadi India. The fabric is a fine weave which contrasts starkly against the textures of Chikankari done by the skilled artisans of the Chikankari craft cluster in Barabanki, near Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The cotton on cotton combination is breathable and easy to wear and can be used to add flair to any outfit. Taking the handmade appeal a notch higher, the edge finishing has also been done by hand.
The colours of our scarves are muted, which is a nod to the foggy winter mornings in the area of the craft cluster. Inspired from our theme for the collection ‘Paridaiza,’ our Laleh stoles feature delicate vines along the length of the stole, along with floral motifs all over which look like shower of flowers. An intricate jaali (latticework) can be seen all over the stole and adds to its elegance.
The colours of the actual product may vary slightly from the image. Handloom fabric, colours may bleed; please refer to product care. Our lining fabrics are upcycled and may vary from the image shown. We do not take responsibility for their performance.
Our cotton fabric is entirely hand embroidered and has the heterogeneity of authentic handmade textiles. The product delivered to you may differ in quality of embroidery from that shown in the image. This is due to the way different artisans embroider. We do not treat this as a flaw.
